As a bahrain blogger, I have noticed that there exists a women’s salon and spa, and a men’s salon and spa, but what about the little ones? Fear not, for I have discovered Lalapaloza: a children’s spa! It is honestly like walking into a dolls house. Picture perfect.
Located in Al Ali Shopping Complex, Lalapaloza is an original concept where children can go to feel like they’ve entered their own little world, which even smells like chocolate and other sweet delights. On one side of the spacious salon you will find a miniature salon known as the ‘’Lala Mini’’, for girls to makeover their dolls however they may please. Alongside that room is a corridor that takes you into the incredibly adorable spa which offers services, such as flavoured haircuts and mani-pedis using homemade, organic candy-inspired products. It is wonderfully decorated, bursting with colours and flowers perfect for children. Opposite the spa is a party room, decorated beautifully and lined up with tables bowed in pink and blue. The boys aren’t left out as they’ve introduced superhero haircuts and Aloe Vera based pedicures for boys and even welcomed parents as a source of parent-child spa bonding.
Lalapaloza is continuously expanding with their creativity as they are looking to present a ‘’Lala spa factory’’, which allows kids to be involved in fashioning the cosmetics at the spa! This will not only serve as a source of invention and fun, but also education. Furthermore, they plan to create workshops for older tweens, teaching and stressing the importance on how to naturally take care of their skin, how to look and feel good, and generally boost confidence from the inside out. One of the many great things about Lalapaloza is that they do not intend to make the children look like fully-grown adults but to embrace their youth with chocolate masks and glitter makeovers.
It is always lovely to see entrepreneurial talent turn into something tangible. I for one, cannot wait to bring my nieces and nephews there! More coming soon, from Bahraini blogger. Stay tuned.
